New Year Intentions

As we move into the “Age of Intuition” our language reflects the shift. Instead of “resolutions” which can be seen as coming from the ego’s determination, we now “set intentions” reflecting a more energetic tone of vibrational awareness that sets the direction of thought through attention. The vibrations of one’s thoughts generates the energy behind intention.
It is said that the first seven days of the year create the energy for the new year. Thus, this has historically been a time of reassessment and rejuvenating enthusiasm. However, those who have set “resolutions” in the past may be disappointed that they were not able to achieve them, and thus, the activity of making resolutions can come to be avoided because of fear of failure. “Resolutions” seem to put the responsibility for achieving them squarely on the shoulders of the resolver.
Intention has a different tone. It has more of the vibration of a request with open hearted anticipation of fulfillment. The responsibility of the “intender” relates to:
- seeing the fruition of the intention as already accomplished
- coming into vibrational alignment with the intentions
- looking at emerging situations as opportunities that may lead to the fulfillment of the intention
- having faith that intending is a co-creative process with something greater than self
- tolerating ambiguity, being willing to take risks and actions as seem required, listening with the heart, and being flexible
- letting go of attachments to outcomes as we judge they “should” be
So, rather than “resolving to make something happen,” the experience of intending has more to do with actively committing to doing our own inner work and becoming more vibrationally sensitive so that when the opportunities arise (such as meeting someone who may be a potential work out buddy we need to keep us motivated) we can see them and take advantage of the potential inherent in them.
My intention for this blog is to continue to enjoy the research and writing that emerges from my commitment to sharing the latest information about energetic medicine, SCENAR, and maintaining wellness. I look forward with great anticipation to seeing where that leads in the coming year.

Thanks for your comment, Julie. Perhaps as we grow into more vibrational awareness and sensitivity, our lives in general may become kinder, for ourselves and our relationships with others.
